Capabilities
Using WebRadar, a user can perform several different types of functions. Not every role will have access to each function. The basic functions are as follows:
- Reporting — incorporates all of the components of WebRadar that are used to gather and present information based on a query. Presentation options include: tables, CSV files, and PDF documents.
- Dashboard — incorporates everything that allows a user to customize which charts and other widgets appear on a user's own private dashboard. Dashboard widgets include: reports, charts, and shortcut lists.
- Administration — incorporates managing suspension schedules for the Data Extractor, configuring the email settings for WebRadar, and entering new license information. The Administration features also include the WebRadar About page.
- Multi-Edit — incorporates the entire process of editing content items in WCM from WebRadar. This includes the selection of content items from the results of a query and the specification of which aspects of the content items to edit.
Roles
Whether or not a user can perform one of the functions above is determined by what their role is. In WebRadar, the roles available are: Admin, Editor, and User. The process of configuring which role each user has is covered in the WebRadar Install Documentation. The following table illustrates which features are accessible for each user:
WebRadar Roles
Role | Reporting | Dashboard | Administration | Multi-Edit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Admin | X | X | X | X |
Editor | X | X |

User | X | X |

In short, the Reporting and Dashboard features are available to all users. Only Editors and Admins can perform edits, and only Admins can configure the Administration operations for WebRadar.
